Thanks for putting me on your mailing list! I was going to email you today…you beat me to it. It was GREAT seeing you again yesterday. I wish we could have had more time to talk…we need to get together sometime soon, at your convenience.
I checked out your blog yesterday and was impressed, both by the presentation and the content. Lucky for me, I am of a like mind on most of your convictions and musings. I thought I would be, but you never know anymore. I’ve been surprised more than a few times by the scary views of people who I thought I “knew.”
I pay very close attention to current events and what the heck is going on in the world. Also, the stuff that matters and gets us through from day to day. It will be good to stay in touch.
Thank you again, and great seeing you after all these years…jack
I came across your blog when I googled my fathers name, Nurlin Tarrant. Thank you so much for remembering him and sharing. What a cool thing to come across. I will share with my older brothers.
I saw someone else also shared some history on my father. One part was incorrect, my father raised his family on Long Island in NY. He is survived by 4 sons George Hall, Nurlin Rawn Tarrant, Shawn Tarrant and Brian Tarrant and one daughter Chandra Hall. His son George played basketball for Cornell University and I (Brian) played football for Syracuse University. His son Shawn is a politician and serves in the House of Delegates for the state of Maryland. All of his children went to college and have carried on his passion for helping others.
My father was a proud New Yorker and would have smiled and been humbled to see your posts.

What a joy to hear from a son of Nurlin. Thank you for writing.
Jack, I think of you often. I will add you to my sports blog. If this does not meet with your approval, it is easy enough to remove your name.
